Dr. John Neuhoff III
Dr. Neuhoff is a native of Nashville, having attended Father Ryan High School. He graduated with Honors from The University of Tennessee in Knoxville. He earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tenn. Graduate studies were provided for by a U.S. Army health Professions Scholarship, which provided the opportunity to serve for four years before returning to Nashville. During his military career he rose to the rank of Captain and was the Optometry Clinic Chief at Kimbrough Army Hospital in Maryland.

- Chairman of the Clinical Advisory Board for Eye Health Partners
- Tennessee Spokesperson for Vision USA
- Board Certified by the Tennessee Board of Optometry
In his spare time he enjoys golf, the outdoors, chasing his dog and is the proud father of an aspiring artist, his son John.
Dr. Barbara Odes
Dr. Barbara Odes grew up in Zimbabwe, central Southern Africa. She received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. Following her graduation, Dr. Odes completed extended training at The London Eye Refraction Hospital, after which she successfully completed the British Supplemental Optometric examination. She received her Doctorate of Optometry degree from the State University of New York, where she also completed a Vision Therapy Externship program. In 2002, Dr. Odes completed an intensive training course in Low Vision at Lighthouse International in New York. She is a member of the Tennessee Association of Optometric Physicians.
She is married and has one beautiful daughter, Jaclyn. Dr. Odes loves to play tennis, snow ski, scuba dive and travel.
Katie has worked in the optometry field since 2000. She enjoys spending time with her dog and participating in events and community service through “Team Green Adventures”. She is a music lover and a Middle Tennessee Native. Katie will be happy to assist you during your visit to our office.
Cindy is a certified Paraoptometric and a Medical Assistant who joined Vision 1st in 1999. She enjoys working with the Safe Haven Family Shelter and participating in local Health Fairs. Cindy has two beautiful children whom she loves spending time with. She has a keen sense of style and is invaluable in helping our patients choose eyewear that compliments them.
Jennifer joined Vision 1st in 2010. She has 13 years of experience in eye care and will guide you through all preliminary testing before you see the doctor. She is an animal lover, owning a cat named Harry and a dog named Peaches. She likes spending time with her church, family, and friends.
Kat has worked in the optometry field since 2004. She is married and has a Pug she rescued 5 years ago. She enjoys volunteering with Hands On Nashville. She is a local music enthusiast as well as a photographer in her spare time. Kat will be more than happy to take care of any of your optical needs.
Johanna is a college student at Vol State working on her ophthalmic technician certification. She loves animals, especially her dog Daisy and enjoys volunteering with Metro Nashville Animal Care.
