I had a great experience with Dr. Hoover and the team at Vision First. I was traveling from out of state and needed a routine eye exam, so I found Dr. Hoover through Zocdoc. The process was very easy and it helped me quickly find a doctor who was in-network with my insurance. Scheduling was completely online and straightforward, and when I arrived there was no wait time. The exam itself was thorough and Dr. Hoover took the time to explain everything clearly. He was very knowledgeable and made the appointment feel unhurried. I also appreciated that there was no pressure to purchase eyewear from the office, although I ultimately chose to buy my glasses from Vision First because they had a great selection. My glasses were ready for pickup within a week. A final touch that really stood out was receiving a handwritten thank-you note after the appointment. It was a small gesture that made the experience feel very personal. Overall, a smooth and professional visit from start to finish. I would definitely recommend them.

I absolutely love Dr. Hoover and staff! Dr. Hoover is a rare gem and I am so happy to be under his care. This is the best experience I've ever had and I would highly recommend Vision 1st to everyone I know.

The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The doctor took the time to explain everything to me and the front desk staff help me find a pair of frames that fit what I was looking for.

I came here because they were in-network on my vision plan. I was shopping around all in-network locations on my plan to find the best pair of glasses that looked the best. I had a wonderful experience here with Tia and recommend you ask for her. I picked up around 25 frames or so in the store and tried them on. She was here for it and patiently gave advice on each one. She was spot on. She definitely understands face shape, design, and what fits you. Highly recommend you stop in here!

As someone who is nervous about anything medical, and hasn’t been to the eye doctor in over 10 years this place was amazing! Super nice, professional, and welcoming. Especially Tia!! She’s an all star and one of the nicest people I think I’ve ever met!

I'm so happy I found Vision 1st. Not only is it super convenient (and free parking in a large lot), but Dr. Hoover and his staff are, hands down, the best. Dr. Hoover is the first optometrist in my life where I felt like he was actually taking his time with me. He explained clearly what he saw, what he was checking for, where I was at, and gave solutions and next steps for my concerns. Picking glasses was very easy and the process underlined by honesty rather than trying to make a sale. I even got a handwritten thank you card in the mail after my visit from Dr. Hoover. Just remarkable to find such an amazing office for a day in age where care seems more money based than human centered.

Dr Hoover is terrific and Clair, the eyeglass technician is remarkable and very accommodating. She has been willing to make numerous adjustments to my frames so they are fitting and feeling comfortable when worn. Thank you.
