The staff was extremely friendly, helpful and professional. The whole process (exam, education and science about my vision, fitting of glasses, and pick up of new glasses) was and easy process and I am very satisfied. Will continue to get my yearly exams here.

This unassuming location happens to be the office of the best eye doctor in Nashville. I don’t think I’ve met anyone in this role as relatable, approachable, and informed as Dr. Hoover. I have seen him for things ranging from annual eye exams and contact lenses, to a rather persistent stye and would recommend him in all ocular related matters.

Doctor and staff are friendly and patient with customers, they do not require or push added out-of-pocket procedures, they also do not make customers feel awkward when getting their prescriptions or push you to buy from them which, is really nice.

I had a great experience with Dr. Hoover and the team at Vision First. I was traveling from out of state and needed a routine eye exam, so I found Dr. Hoover through Zocdoc. The process was very easy and it helped me quickly find a doctor who was in-network with my insurance. Scheduling was completely online and straightforward, and when I arrived there was no wait time. The exam itself was thorough and Dr. Hoover took the time to explain everything clearly. He was very knowledgeable and made the appointment feel unhurried. I also appreciated that there was no pressure to purchase eyewear from the office, although I ultimately chose to buy my glasses from Vision First because they had a great selection. My glasses were ready for pickup within a week. A final touch that really stood out was receiving a handwritten thank-you note after the appointment. It was a small gesture that made the experience feel very personal. Overall, a smooth and professional visit from start to finish. I would definitely recommend them.

I came here because they were in-network on my vision plan. I was shopping around all in-network locations on my plan to find the best pair of glasses that looked the best. I had a wonderful experience here with Tia and recommend you ask for her. I picked up around 25 frames or so in the store and tried them on. She was here for it and patiently gave advice on each one. She was spot on. She definitely understands face shape, design, and what fits you. Highly recommend you stop in here!
